Art of Travel Thailand in Cooperation with a local village in Koh Yao Noi operates the Ancient Siam Tour
Art of Travel Thailand and Ancient Siam, join forces with local villagers in Koh Yao Noi in developing a unique full day tour which showcases not only a stop to relax in one of the islands seculuded beaches, but to show the untouched rural village life.
The tour starts off from Phuket on board a long-tail boat at 9:00 am. The journey en-route to Koh Yao Noi shows breathtaking sights to the beautiful outlying islands off Phuket. With the tour, guests get to see local farmers collecting birds nests, see first-hand the methods used in traditional rice farming, or witness a buffalo ploughing the fields and witness trained monkeys gather coconuts.
Guests also learn some of the local trade like rubber plantation, hand weaving and other island handicrafts, or a quick course on Thai herbs and how they are used for cooking delicious curries and desserts. You get to eat them too.
However, guests are not allowed to leave the island without learning the "Rong Ngaen" which is an original dance by local Koh Yao Noi villagers.
Lunch is included in the tour at a local sea-view restaurant.
